--- Level ---. The level is the amount of years of relevant experience an information architect, IT-architect and IT-Business Architect has acquired:

--- Kind of architect ---. The following kinds of architects are certified ( see also the relative placement and this presentation):
| Information Architect | The person who works with information as a business means in such a way the results will enable her/him to select the right solutions to support an organisation. | |
| IT-Business Architect | The person who works on IT-solutions to support an organisation. He/she is concerned with concepts like alignment, service level, information landscape etc. | |
| IT-Architect | The person who knows how to organise an information infrastructure. | |
| (Business Process Architect) | Possible overlap with other communities | |
| (Project Architect) | A role of one of the other architects |
Area: A number of Information Architects, IT-Architects and IT-Business Architects have specialised themselves. The areas the specialised in are:

--- Certified until ---. A certificate is issued for a certain term (usually 3 years). The month listed in this column is the month in which te certificate must be renewed. So, March 2005 means the certificates should have been renewed before this month (renewal takes 12 weeks or less). For young architects the term may be shorter because they may want to become certified as junior as soon as they have 8 years of relevant experience.
--- CoE --- = Code of Ethics. SCIA does not have a code of Ethics of Code of Conduct (yet). Some of the certified persons has subjected themselves to existing codes of other organisations. The organisations listed are
