The very heart of beautiful Amsterdam, between Central Station and Dam Square, is the home of this 5-star Renaissance hotel. The SCIA meeting will take place in the domed Koepelkerk Convention Centre, a renowned location build in the 17th century. The church was completely renovated in 1995 and is one of Netherlands most historical conference venues.

This is a formal occasion. We appreciate appropriate clothing. Formal clothing is not required.

If you intend to stay in beautiful Amsterdam, please let us know as soon as possible (at least before or on February 4th). We can make a reservation for you at the Renaissance Hotel at a cost of Euro 169,= in a quality room (excl. breakfast) . Please let us know if you need a non-smoking room and we do our best to this for you.

As we want to make this a festive happening we have included a wine arrangement for the Banquet-dinner. Drinking and driving is dangerous, therefore we want to suggest travel by public transportation (Amsterdam Central Station is nearby) or to stay in Amsterdam, overnight. .

By train:

Take a train to Amsterdam Central Station. From there it is a short walk to the Hotel (see below)

By car:

Amsterdam is a difficult city to drive and park. There are a number of parking garages in the vicinity of the Hotel. They are expensive. Around the city there are a number of parking garages called Transferium. From there one can take a train or the metro to the centre of Amsterdam.

By bike:

Driving a bike in Amsterdam is preferred in all cases.

By air:

Schiphol, also called Amsterdam Airport, is the nearest airport. From the airport you can take a taxi to the Hotel. Schiphol has a trainstation and it is a short trainride to Amsterdam Central Station. It is a short minute walk, right through the heart of Amsterdam , from Central Station to the Hotel (see below)
