The skills of an architect
are very diverse. He of she has to have a lot of expertise in a large number
of areas. Theses skills can be categorised as follows:
- Knowledge:
Specialisation dependent on the
kind of architect. Broad orientation on many other areas of expertise
- Ability/Skill/Competence:
able to abstract, much experience in many fields
- Being:
behaviour, proficiency, catalyst, imagination, judgement, integrity, etc.
Broad, from an kernel expertise
Certified architects:
- have to keep up with
change in and around their area of expertise
- have different levels
of expertise, so growth is possible
- must have many years
of broad experienc
- Need to repeat certification
on a regular basis
- Education-permanente,
for instance 40 hours per year

there is a tendency to demand more and broader skills form architects.
